Also known as the Double layer nappy system. Recommended by swim schools for baby swimming these provide extra protections from any leaks and should be worn with a disposable swimmer nappy underneath. The Neoprene nappies have a high elasticated waste and elasticated leg openings, great for comfort and to prevent any faecal urinary leakage.
WHY NEOPRENE?
Neoprene is soft, light weight, stretchy and durable. On top of that it is water resistant yet machine washable. Remember every baby is a different size so to ensure you get the perfect fit, measure around babies legs and waist.
How to Fit a Neoprene Nappy
How to fit a reusable nappy correctly is really important and essential for its purpose as the elasticated band around the waist and the legs should be snug.
To check this place one finger into the leg opening if you can fit more than 1 finger into the leg opening where the thigh is then this is too loose and should not be worn
Happy Nappy – suggest “pulling the nappy right up to the top of your baby’s legs before you attempt to pull it up over the under-nappy and then up to the waist. The waistband should then sit quite high on the tummy and be over the belly button. If you find that the nappy keeps slipping down then either it is too big or the Lycra fibres in the waistband have deteriorated. To test this, gently pull the waistband and let it go. It should immediately pingback to the body and stay quite tight against your baby’s skin. If there is any looseness or does not retain its position on the body then it is time to purchase a new nappy’
Due to demand, we now stock Neoprene nappies to purchase. So whether you are swimming with us or anywhere else get in touch to purchase your nappies here.
Remember, we don’t allow babies and toddlers who are not toilet trained to swim in our pool without the Double Layer Nappy System. Do not bring your child swimming if they have had diarrhoea as the swim nappies are not effective at holding loose stool.
